Job summary

JLL is seeking a Development & Permitting Coordinator in the United States to support land use entitlements, zoning approvals, and building permits for construction projects. You will work under senior staff to navigate regulatory requirements and coordinate with government agencies and consultants.

Qualifications

• Experience in development, permitting, land use planning, or related field.
• Ability to read site plans and zoning maps.
• Strong organizational and deadline-tracking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit permit applications for land use, zoning, building, and environmental approvals.
• Coordinate with government agencies and planning departments.
• Track permit applications, timelines, and compliance requirements.
• Research zoning regulations, building codes, and land use policies.
• Prepare documentation and reports for permit submissions.
• Support due diligence for site feasibility and regulatory constraints.
• Coordinate with consultants (surveyors, engineers, env specialists, land use attorneys).
• Monitor project schedules and flag delays.
• Maintain organized records of permits, approvals, and correspondence.
• Attend meetings with regulatory agencies and stakeholders.
• Assist in presentations for planning boards and public hearings.
• Develop permitting strategies and timelines; build relationships with local officials.
