Job summary

nVent is seeking a key technical lead to partner with customers, sales, and engineering to turn real-world challenges into practical data center solutions. The role emphasizes field work, system integration, and delivering meaningful outcomes for customers.

The successful candidate will act as a domain authority for Data Solutions products, provide technical application support, and drive strategic projects while traveling up to 30% across the US and Canada. Remote work is supported.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Data Center cooling and infrastructure.
• 5+ years in a technical applications role supporting Data Center product solutions.
• Ability to work 100% remotely and travel ~30% across US/Canada.
• Strong background in Air and Liquid Cooling Solutions for Data Centers.
• Understanding of Data Center Power Architecture from UPS to rack/equipment level.

Responsibilities

• Serve as domain authority for Data Solutions products across Sales, Product Management, Operations, etc.
• Provide first-line product support to customers and colleagues using Data Solutions and Electrical Connections.
• Evaluate customer RFQs and build costing/quotes with technical and commercial content.
• Prepare quotations & proposals of non-standard products using internal CPQ and ERP systems.
• Lead strategic projects for product improvements, cost reduction, product consolidation, and new product development.
• Represent nVent in industry codes and standards committees.
• Provide market intelligence and VOC feedback to commercial teams.
