Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Data Center Commissioning Project Engineer (Mechanical and/or Electrical) for a fully remote role with travel up to 75%. The position requires hands-on data center commissioning experience and a BA/BS in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.

Candidates should be able to diagnose and resolve construction and operation issues while coordinating resources and schedules for large-scale projects.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Data Center commissioning experience (Electrical/Mechanical).
• Must be able/willing to travel up to 75% for project work, training, and inter-office business (expenses paid).
• Experience diagnosing and solving construction and operational problems.
• Experience managing design/energy services commissioning project resources to pre-determined scope, fee, and schedule.
• Knowledge of building codes, construction industry standards such as ASHRAE, LEED.
• Effective leadership and written/verbal communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing Data Center projects to meet client expectations for technical excellence, budget, and schedule.
• Perform construction observations, review contract documents, develop functional test plans and execute tests for mechanical and controls systems.
• Execute retro-commissioning engineering/energy studies and contribute to design and energy projects for industrial, institutional, and commercial clients.
