Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Electrical Commissioning Project Manager to lead the commissioning of mission-critical data center electrical systems in a hybrid/remote role, with travel across North America.

The ideal candidate has a BSEE, PE license, and 7–10+ years of electrical commissioning experience, including BESS and microgrids, MV switchgear, and control systems. Join a Fortune 500‑level firm driving the next-generation data center infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• 7–10+ years in electrical commissioning.
• Experience with mission-critical Data Center projects.
• Experience with medium-voltage electrical systems.
• Experience with BESS, Microgrids, and engine power systems.
• Knowledge of switchgear, generator controls, relays, and SCADA.
• Ability to read one-line diagrams and schematics.
• Excellent communication and project leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning activities for mission-critical data center electrical infrastructure from pre-functional testing to final acceptance.
• Manage commissioning schedules, documentation, and project execution for multiple complex projects.
• Oversee construction verification, equipment startup, IST, and functional testing.
• Coordinate commissioning of BESS, microgrids, and engine-driven generation.
• Review drawings, specifications, and test procedures; ensure conformance.
• Collaborate with owners, contractors, manufacturers, designers, and field teams.
• Resolve issues during startup and maintain project schedules.
• Prepare commissioning reports, punch lists, and turnover documentation.
