Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Data Engineering and Warehousing Specialist Solutions Architect (SSA) to drive the technical strategy for customers, owning complex architecture discussions and guiding production deployments. This remote-friendly role requires 6+ years in architectural or pre-sales roles, deep Spark/Kafka experience, and strong Python/SQL skills.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in solutions architecture, technical pre-sales, or senior hands-on technical role.
• Deep hands-on experience with Apache Spark ecosystem and Kafka.
• Strong coding in Python and SQL; able to live-code and build solutions.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end technical strategy for accounts from discovery to production deployment.
• Lead architecture discussions across data engineering and real-time analytics.
• Advise customer architects, engineering leads and Directors with trusted guidance.
• Drive technical wins through custom-built solutions and competitive differentiation.
• Develop and share an emerging technical specialization for the team.
