Job summary

MEM Insurance is seeking a Product Owner – Data & Analytics to shape and deliver data products, reporting solutions, and analytics capabilities. The role bridges business and technical teams, prioritizing data initiatives and driving adoption of data-driven solutions.

Remote role with occasional travel to MEM Home Office in Columbia, MO; requires collaboration with data engineers, analysts, and business leaders to create tangible business value.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in business analysis, systems analysis, product ownership, or a related role.
• Experience working within Agile or product-centric environments preferred.
• Experience supporting or leading data governance initiatives preferred.
• Experience gathering requirements and translating business needs into actionable deliverables.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver technology or data-related solutions.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and the Data & Analytics team.
• Maintain, refine, and prioritize the backlog for data products, reporting solutions, and analytics enhancements.
• Translate business needs into well-defined user stories, requirements, and acceptance criteria.
• Ensure work items are actionable, prioritized appropriately, and aligned with departmental goals.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and solution reviews.
• Monitor progress, identify dependencies, and elevate risks when appropriate.
