Toptal is hiring a Data Analytics Engineer to own the data transformation layer and steward the data warehouse. You will collaborate with Data Engineers, Business Analysts, and Data Scientists to ensure high-quality data for analytics and decision making.

The role emphasizes SQL mastery, Python, LLM fluency, and agentic tooling in a remote, global environment. You will build AI-enabled data systems and drive data governance across sources.

Qualifications

• Expert-level SQL skills and Python knowledge.
• Fluency with LLMs and agentic coding tools.
• Experience with cloud data warehousing (BigQuery or Snowflake).
• Understanding of modern transformation frameworks (dbt, Dataform, SQLMesh).
• Experience translating business logic into SQL to drive business impact.

Responsabilités

• Design, write, review and ship SQL models across repositories transforming raw data into usable data products.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers to add and publish new data sources in the data warehouse.
• Monitor data warehouse quality, accuracy, coverage, and usability.
• Document data definitions, grain, and business rules for AI agents and humans.
• Review teammates’ code to maintain production hygiene of the warehouse.
• Work with Business Analysts, Data Engineers, Data Scientists to empower data-driven decisions.
