Job summary

The Helmsman Group LLC is seeking a Data Analyst to turn large datasets into actionable insights. You will collect, process, and analyze data to inform strategic decisions, collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into analytical solutions.

Qualifications

Proficiency in SQL, Excel and statistical software (R, Python).
Experience with Tableau or Power BI for dashboards.
Strong problem-solving, ability to work independently and in a team.
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, to non-technical audiences.
Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or Data Science preferred.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate data needs into analytical solutions.
Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to visualize metrics and trends.
Perform data cleaning and validation to ensure data integrity and accuracy.
Utilize statistical methods to identify patterns, correlations, and anomalies in data.
Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders clearly and concisely.
Stay current with industry trends and best practices in data analysis and visualization techniques.
Assist in the development of data governance policies to ensure compliance and security.
