Job summary

The Helmsman Group LLC is a remote-ready IT Analyst — Data Analytics & Data Science role focused on analyzing complex business and technology data to support data-driven decisions. You will work with business stakeholders, data scientists, data engineers, IT teams, and management to collect, prepare, analyze, visualize, and interpret data for improved IT and business performance.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a data-related field with 2–5 years in data analytics or IT analysis.
Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases.
Proficiency in Excel and data analysis/visualization tools.
Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI platforms.
Working knowledge of Python or R for data analysis.

Responsibilities

Collect, integrate, clean, and analyze data from multiple systems.
Develop reports and dashboards using Power BI or Tableau.
Write SQL queries to extract, validate, and analyze data from relational databases.
Support data science initiatives through data preparation and analysis.
Develop statistical analyses, forecasts, and predictive models.
