Job summary

Matillion is hiring a Professional Services Engineer to deploy and optimize Maia Foundation platform for enterprise customers. You will architect integrations, modernise legacy ETL/ELT workflows, and enable Maia's agentic AI capabilities across cloud and Kubernetes environments.

Based in Sydney, this remote role supports regional customers as Matillion grows in the APAC market, working with OpenAI/Anthropic APIs and delivering production-ready solutions within 8–12 weeks.

Qualifications

• Production-grade software development experience with Python, SQL and API work.
• Hands-on ETL/ELT tooling experience in data engineering roles.
• Strong data architecture background and migration experience.

Responsibilities

• Own the deployment by architecting production-grade integrations and distributed data systems.
• Transform legacy ETL/ELT workflows into autonomous data pipelines across cloud platforms.
• Integrate AI APIs and use AI tooling to accelerate delivery of Maia capabilities.
• Deliver solutions from kickoff to production within an 8–12 week accelerator.
• Balance deep technical work with strategic customer conversations.
