Job summary

HNL Lab Medicine seeks a Cytogenetics professional to identify, prepare and process tissue and fluid specimens following SOPs. You will perform FISH and CMA analyses as needed, ensuring quality control and instrument troubleshooting while supporting on-call demands.

The role requires a BS in biological sciences or chemistry with NAACLS cytogenetics training or equivalent experience; certification by ASCP/ASMT/NCA is expected.

Qualifications

• BS degree with Biological Science/ Chemistry; NAACLS cytogenetics program or 2 years cytogenetics training.

Responsibilities

• Identify, prepare and process tissue and body fluids per SOPs.
• Perform FISH and CMA analyses as needed.
• Prioritize work to respond to STAT requests.
• Maintain quality control and troubleshoot instruments.
• Provide training for new staff or students.
