Job summary

Cherokee Federal is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to support NSF OCIO on governance, risk, and compliance. You will draft policy content, analyze requirements, and support oversight within a federal compliance environment.

In a remote, full-time role, you will collaborate with IT teams, program offices, and senior stakeholders to maintain cybersecurity posture across NSF systems. Active Public Trust clearance is required or obtainable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• CompTIA Security+ certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months).
• Familiarity with NIST RMF, FISMA, OMB directives.

Responsibilities

• Develop, revise, disseminate NSF cybersecurity policies and procedures.
• Translate federal guidance into NSF policy and standards.
• Conduct gap analyses to improve the NSF Cybersecurity Program.
• Collaborate with SMEs, system owners, ISSOs, and stakeholders.
