Job summary

Cherokee Federal is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst focused on Privacy & Training to support privacy program development, assessments, and training delivery. The role involves advising on privacy requirements across the SDLC and coordinating with privacy leadership and system owners.

This remote position requires US citizenship and an active or obtainable Public Trust clearance, with a compensation range noted for the posting.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in cybersecurity, privacy, IT, information assurance, or related field.
3–5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, privacy, GRC, compliance, risk management, or related work.
Experience with privacy assessments, risk assessments, compliance reviews, or similar analytical activities.
Working knowledge of federal privacy requirements and PII protection.
Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain/maintain federal credentials.
Active Public Trust clearance or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

Develop PTAs and PIAs, identify privacy risks, and mitigation recommendations.
Maintain PIAs, SORNs, ISAs, MOUs, inventories, and supporting docs.
Advise system owners on privacy requirements across the SDLC.
Evaluate new technologies and contracts for privacy impacts.
Monitor federal privacy laws and guidance (Privacy Act, FISMA, etc.).
Prepare privacy briefs, reports, and status updates for government stakeholders.
