Job summary

9th Way Insignia, a service-disabled veteran-owned small business, seeks a Cybersecurity Integration and Test Engineer to support the VA COSE program. This remote-friendly role emphasizes security integration, interoperability, and regression testing across APIs, networks, and cloud services.

You will develop test plans, track defects, and ensure traceability from requirements to validation. Applicants should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and at least five years in systems

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, information systems, cybersecurity, or related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Five or more years of systems integration, test engineering, quality assurance, cybersecurity engineering, or related experience.
• Experience with test planning, defect tracking, requirements traceability, and integration or end-to-end testing.
• Familiarity with security controls, secure interfaces, APIs, cloud services, and vulnerability remediation.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute security integration, interoperability, functional, and regression testing for systems and security tools.
• Develop test plans, test cases, test data, procedures, and traceability artifacts.
• Validate security requirements and control implementation across interfaces, APIs, networks, applications, and cloud services.
• Document defects, coordinate root-cause analysis, and verify corrective actions through retesting.
• Support release readiness reviews, test reporting, and production-acceptance activities.
