Job summary

9th Way Insignia is seeking a Cybersecurity Systems Architect to support the VA COSE program. This role designs secure data exchange architectures, APIs, and integration patterns to strengthen cyber resilience for VA systems and workflows.

The position requires expertise in enterprise architecture, cloud or hybrid designs, and the ability to translate complex business needs into implementable specifications; the role is contingent upon contract award.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related field.
• Eight or more years of systems engineering, integration architecture, software architecture, or enterprise integration experience.
• Experience with APIs, integration patterns, data flows, cloud or hybrid architectures, and secure system design.
• Ability translating business and technical requirements into architecture and interface specifications.
• Strong architecture documentation, analysis, and stakeholder communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design system and integration architectures for secure data exchange, APIs, applications, platforms, and services.
• Define interface patterns, system requirements, data flows, integration standards, and implementation guidance.
• Evaluate architecture options for security, scalability, reliability, performance, and supportability.
• Coordinate with architects, developers, cybersecurity engineers, and business stakeholders.
• Produce architecture diagrams, interface specifications, integration plans, and decision records.
