Job summary

LTS is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst to support the VA Health Portfolio with IT program and security management. This role involves protecting information systems, coordinating security activities, and ensuring certification and accreditation artifacts meet FISMA and NIST standards.

Ideal candidates will have federal security experience, strong communication skills, and a proven ability to work remotely with diverse teams across projects and vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 15 years of experience in a relevant IT/security role with 10 years substituting for degree.
• Hands-on experience with FISMA, NIST-800-53, HIPAA, HITECH.
• Experience obtaining an ATO for VA or Federal systems.
• Familiarity with security engineering concepts and IA directives.
• Strong ability to work remotely and coordinate with diverse stakeholders.
• Experience with ServiceNow and security tracking tools.

Responsibilities

• Support cybersecurity efforts across multiple VA Health Portfolio projects.
• Coordinate security/privacy activities and artifacts within project teams.
• Review security controls against NIST 800-53 Rev 4 and VA 6500.
• Deliver security artifacts on time and mitigate program risks.
• Communicate with stakeholders and support IT modernization and security architecture.
