Job summary

Fortress Information Security, LLC is hiring a Security Risk Assessor to perform cybersecurity risk assessments and VCA workflow for clients. This role requires partnering with internal teams and external vendors to identify, validate, and close findings with a focus on quality and SLAs.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in cybersecurity or risk management, strong communication skills, and experience with regulated industries. Remote/hybrid work options are available in the Orlando area.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in cybersecurity control reviews, risk management, or information security.
• Experience in customer-facing environments.
• Experience in regulated industries (financial services, energy, healthcare).
• Strong understanding of risk management concepts, IT general controls, and audit terminology.
• Familiarity with information security frameworks (NIST 800-53, NIST CSF, ISO 27001).
• Attention to detail, able to follow scripts, meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and client relationship skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office and Google products; ability to use AI tools.

Responsibilities

• Deliver workload consistently within service level agreements and quality standards.
• Work independently while representing the department professionally.
• Collaborate with internal partners and third parties to mitigate third-party risks.
• Represent Fortress to clients and their third parties.
• Execute the VCA workflow for assigned clients.
• Perform remediation reviews and coordinate with vendors to close findings.
