Job summary

GuidePoint Security in Reston, VA is seeking a mid-level Forescout Cyber Security Engineer to deploy and operate advanced defense tools for government and commercial clients. The role focuses on hands-on evaluation, implementation, and ongoing security operations across complex networks.

Candidates should hold TS/SCI clearance with polygraph ability and 3+ years of systems administration on Windows or Linux, plus relevant DoD 8570 certifications.

Qualifications

• TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain a counter‑intelligence polygraph.
• 3+ years of experience performing systems administration for Windows or Linux, including troubleshooting and security upgrades.
• HS diploma or GED and 7+ years of IT project support OR Associate's/Bachelor's/Master's with corresponding years of IT project support.

Responsibilities

• Deployment or daily maintenance of ForeScout CounterACT appliances.
• Network engineering duties: ports, switches, VLANs, FW, AD, guest networks, domain management.
• Knowledge of multi-domain architectures including data center, WAN, and LAN in virtualized environments.
