Job summary

Everforth ECS seeks a CX/UX professional to join our data team, working remotely to support the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) OCIO. You will design user-friendly interfaces that improve usability and the overall user experience across DHS public-facing websites.

You will conduct user research and usability testing, create flows and wireframes, and develop high-fidelity prototypes using Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD while ensuring WCAG accessibility and stakeholder-aligned iterations.

Qualifications

• Experience designing UX for dashboards and data-heavy interfaces.
• Strong ability to conduct user research, interviews, and usability testing.
• Proficient in creating flows, wireframes, and prototypes.
• Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.2) in design.
• Fluent with Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD for high-fidelity mockups.
• Ability to translate complex data into intuitive interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Create user friendly designs that enhance usability and optimize user experiences, identify design challenges and propose elegant, effective solutions
• Develop innovative approaches to complex design problems presenting you ideas through mockups, presentations and detailed design specifications
• Conduct user research, interviews, and usability testing to understand user behavior and pain points
• Iterate on designs based on stakeholder feedback and evolving requirements
• Create user flows, journey maps, wireframes, and prototypes that communicate design concepts clearly
• Apply UX best practices to ensure accessibility, clarity and ease of use
• Develop high fidelity mockups and interactive prototypes using tools like Figma, Sketch, or ADOBE XD
• Maintain and evolve design specifications, component libraries and style guides
