Job summary

Delta Dental Plan of Michigan, Inc. is seeking a Customer Service Trainee to support inquiries and learn claims processing. This role is fully remote but you must reside in Michigan and attend occasional team meetings in Farmington Hills, MI. Training is hybrid.

You will research inquiries, respond to customers, groups and providers, maintain records, and process claims and eligibility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• At least 1 year of customer service experience using computer programs in a business environment.

Responsibilities

• Research inquiries using the claims processing system and other sources.
• Respond to customer, group and provider questions via telephone and written communication with proper etiquette, grammar, and punctuation.
• Maintain departmental records and files.
• Operate office equipment, including PC, calculator, copier, and fax machine.
• Make corrections to claims and eligibility; enter new claims and subscriber information into the mainframe.
