Job summary

Symetra, a national financial services company, seeks a Customer Communications Manager for the Benefits Division. This role owns the strategy, development, and delivery of customer communications that inform, engage, and build trust with our customers.

You will partner with marketing, product, sales, and operations to deliver clear messaging across channels. The ideal candidate has 8+ years of experience in customer communications within regulated environments, exceptional writing and editing

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience developing and delivering customer communications.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills; translate complex information into clear messaging.
• Strong project management and organizational skills; manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
• Experience in regulated industries such as insurance/financial services.
• Knowledge of Group Benefits products and related offerings.
• Experience with Salesforce CRM, email marketing platforms, or marketing automation tools.
• Familiarity with accessibility standards for customer communications.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to travel occasionally to support business needs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute communication strategies, processes and workflows for Benefits customers.
• Create, edit and distribute customer-facing communications across channels.
• Coordinate reviews with compliance, legal, and privacy teams.
• Monitor timelines and provide reporting on outcomes and effectiveness.
• Support urgent communications during business events or operational changes.
