Job summary

Common Ground seeks a Crisis Trainer and Coach to deliver its Crisis Intervention Training (CIT) 100% virtually, using Zoom and Microsoft Teams. The role guides staff across multiple programs, coaching them to apply Caplan crisis intervention principles and trauma-informed care in real time.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in a human service field, at least two years of crisis intervention experience, and is proficient in Microsoft Office and communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Service field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2 years of crisis intervention experience.
• Completion of Crisis Intervention Training (CIT) upon hire.
• Completion of ASIST training.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 96-hour Crisis Intervention Training (CIT) virtually.
• Provide coaching to staff to improve adherence to the CIT model.
• Track CIT training progress and coordinate updates with staff.
• Collaborate with leadership to ensure a quality new hire training experience.
• Communicate with new hires in a friendly, welcoming manner across mediums.
