Suncoast Center, Inc. is seeking a reliable per diem helpline advocate for our Sexual Assault Program. This remote position provides crisis intervention, advocacy, and emotional support to survivors of sexual assault by answering the helpline.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or GED (Bachelor’s preferred), strong communication skills, and the ability to work flexible hours including some evenings; background checks and Florida driver’s license may be required.

Responsabilités

• Provide confidential, trauma-informed crisis intervention and support to survivors of sexual assault.
• Assess safety needs and provide individualized support, resources, referrals, and safety planning.
• Use active listening, empathy, and nonjudgmental communication to empower survivors.
• Provide information on medical, legal, advocacy, counseling, and community resources.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with policies and reporting requirements.
• Coordinate referrals and services with community providers and agencies.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote continuity of care.
• Advocate for survivors’ rights, choices, and access to support.
• Maintain client records and service documentation per standards.
• Complete required annual training and ongoing sexual violence training.
