Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a credentialing enrollment specialist to enroll providers with payers, manage CAQH and NPI accounts, and coordinate with clinic and billing leaders to ensure accurate enrollment and billing status.

You will gather provider information, submit onboarding forms, track applications, and support re-validations across Medicare, Medicaid, and other networks, using MDStaff and MarketWare software. The role offers a remote, nationwide work setup.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 4+ years of healthcare payer enrollment credentialing experience.
• Experience with compliance workflows and Joint Commission policies.
• Experience researching and applying government regulatory information.

Responsibilities

• Gathers required information and documents from providers to enroll them with contracted payers.
• Submits onboarding validation forms to ensure providers are set up correctly in the Epic billing system.
• Completes payer enrollment applications for newly onboarded providers and add locations.
• Tracks and follows up on payer enrollment applications to ensure providers are linked with payers and updates MDStaff and MarketWare.
• Provides updates to onboarding team and clinic leaders to meet credentialing timelines.
• Communicates effective dates and payer updates to billing and clinic leaders to ensure proper claims processing.
• Manages provider CAQH and NPI accounts.
• Establishes relationships with providers, clinic leaders, billing leaders, managed care, and payer contacts.
• Pulls reports from MDStaff as needed to verify enrollments.
