Job summary

HCA Healthcare is seeking a Credentialing Specialist II (Part Time) to safeguard patient well-being by ensuring hospitals and facilities possess validated credentials. You will collaborate with 350+ internal and external customers, supporting accurate practitioner credentialing and regulatory adherence.

The role emphasizes meticulous documentation, regulatory knowledge, and timely follow-up to resolve credentialing issues while maintaining high-quality standards across our healthcare enterprise.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years’ experience in healthcare credentialing with Parallon or HCA required.
• Experience with Joint Commission or NCQA accreditation preferred.
• NAMSS Certification preferred.
• Remote employees are required to live within 60 miles of an HCA hospital.
• Remote employees must have wired internet with 25 Mbps download and 15 Mbps upload.

Responsibilities

• Communicate and apply regulatory guidelines, policies, and internal systems with internal and external customers.
• Develop collaborative partnerships with healthcare facilities, customers, and stakeholders.
• Review credentialing documents to identify potential practitioner issues and risks.
• Ensure compliance with Joint Commission standards and facility bylaws.
• Document resolution and escalate issues in practitioner files when needed.
