Job summary

Parallon is seeking a Credentialing Specialist II to safeguard patient well-being by ensuring verified credentials for hospitals and facilities. You will manage complex credentialing documents, communicate with practitioners, and collaborate with 350+ facilities to maintain compliance and data integrity.

This role emphasizes quality, regulatory adherence, and timely processing. The position requires 5+ years in healthcare credentialing, knowledge of Joint Commission/NQAC standards, NAMSS

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years’ experience in healthcare credentialing with Parallon or HCA required.
• Experience with Credentialing Accreditation by Joint Commission or National Committee for Quality Assurance, preferred.
• Detailed working knowledge of healthcare and credentialing industry, including medical-legal issues and laws, regulatory agencies, and other national standards preferred.
• NAMSS Certification preferred.
• Remote employees are required to live within 60 miles of an HCA hospital.
• Remote employees are required to have wired internet access with 25 Mbps download and 15 Mbps upload.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely and accurate credentialing of medical and allied providers.
• Collaborate with over 350+ facilities, customers, and stakeholders.
• Review Data Integrity, Specialist, and Compliance Reviews to identify practitioner risks.
• Comply with Joint Commission Standards, Facility Bylaws and CPC standards.
• Document resolutions and escalations in practitioner files for potential future use.
