Job summary

Deborah Heart and Lung Center is seeking a qualified medical coder to review and code patient records for both inpatients and outpatients. You will assign ICD-10-CM/ICD-10-PCS codes and verify CPT-4, DRGs, and APCs from documentation.

Preferred: 1–3 years acute care coding with an Associate's in Health Information Technology. Fully remote, 8:30am–5pm, Monday–Friday. Starting rate is $22.12 per hour with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology is required.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and disease pathology.
• Proficiency with ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS and CPT-4 coding.

Responsibilities

• Review and code patient records for inpatients and outpatients.
• Assign ICD-10-CM and ICD-10-PCS codes.
• Verify CPT-4 codes, DRGs, and APCs.
