Novacore in San Diego is looking for an experienced P&C Underwriter for their Commercial Real Estate (CRE) insurance program. This role involves building a profitable portfolio and providing leadership to the underwriting team.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of property and casualty underwriting experience and will be a key player in the company's regional growth strategy. Novacore offers a collaborative work environment and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years property and casualty underwriting experience with an emphasis on binding authority.
• Experience in product development and territory expansion preferred.
• P&C license is sought after and eligible for reimbursement if obtained upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Build a portfolio of business in alignment with budget expectations.
• Provide direct supervision, training and guidance to the underwriting department.
• Maintain and conform to underwriting guidelines for all procedures.
