100x Recruiting partners with a strong, nine-figure live entertainment startup to hire a hands-on CPA Controller. You will oversee event-level financial oversight, budgeting, and accounting operations, with visibility into profitability across productions.

This remote role requires 7–10 years in live events accounting, CPA certification, and the ability to transition accounts payable in-house. Expect travel 5–10x per year and occasional long hours during events.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of accounting experience, ideally in live events, concerts, or sports production
• Strong cost forecasting and budgeting experience in production-based environments
• Experience with project accounting and event-level reconciliation
• Willingness to work extended hours and occasional weekends
• Hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves mindset

Responsibilities

• Lead cost forecasting and budgeting for live events (venue rental, staging, lighting, production)
• Perform project-based accounting and financial modeling to determine event profitability
• Reconcile event budgets on-site to prevent cost overruns
• Transition Accounts Payable from outsourced to in-house operations
• Oversee internal Accounts Receivable processes
• Partner with executive leadership on strategic financial planning and growth initiatives
• Travel to live events approximately 5–10 times annually
