Job summary

100x Recruiting seeks a hands-on CPA Controller for a remote, high-growth live entertainment startup. You will oversee event-level accounting, budgeting, and FP&A, with travel to major events 5–10 times yearly. Expect a fast-paced, high-performance environment and the opportunity to scale the internal finance function.

You should have 7–10 years in production-based accounting and a CPA, ready to lead cost forecasting, on-site reconciliations, and strategic financial planning.

Qualifications

• CPA required
• 7–10 years of accounting experience in live events, concerts, production, TV, or sports productions
• Strong cost forecasting and budgeting in production-based environments
• Experience with project accounting and event-level reconciliation
• Willingness to work extended hours and occasional weekends

Responsibilities

• Lead cost forecasting and budgeting for live events (venue rental, staging, lighting, production)
• Perform project-based accounting and financial modeling to determine event profitability
• Reconcile event budgets on-site to prevent cost overruns
• Transition Accounts Payable from outsourced to in-house operations
• Oversee internal Accounts Receivable processes
• Partner with leadership on strategic financial planning and growth initiatives
• Support build-out of internal accounting infrastructure
• Travel to live events 5–10 times annually
