Job summary

Cayuse Language Connect, LLC is seeking Indigenous Mexican Language Interpreters to provide real-time interpretation for court-related proceedings, including hearings, pretrials, sentencing, and immigration matters. Native or near-native fluency in English and one Indigenous Mexican language is required, along with discretion and confidentiality.

The role is remote with on-call requirements; candidates must be able to travel for in-person assignments as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
• 3+ years of court interpretation, immigration, trafficking, hearings.
• Native or near-native fluency in both English and one Indigenous Mexican language.
• Familiarity with legal terminology.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and act impartially.

Responsibilities

• Accurately interpret spoken communication in real time, preserving meaning, intent, and tone.
• Facilitate cross-cultural understanding by clarifying non-verbal cues and culture-specific concepts.
• Maintain confidentiality and impartiality in all interactions.
• Complete required documentation, logs, and reports per protocols.
• Comply with laws, policies, and professional conduct.
