Cayuse Language Connect, LLC is seeking Indigenous Mexican Language Interpreters to provide real-time interpretation for legal proceedings. Work will involve court hearings, pretrials, and related proceedings in a remote-capable role with on-site as needed.

Native or near-native fluency in English and Indigenous Mexican Languages is required, along with strict confidentiality, professionalism, and cultural sensitivity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
• 3+ years of court interpretation, immigration, trafficking, hearings.
• Native or near-native fluency in English and Indigenous Mexican Languages (Nahuatl, Yucatec Maya, Tzeltal & Tzotzil, Mixtec, Zapotec, Otomi).
• Familiarity with legal terminology.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and act impartially.

Responsabilités

• Accurately interpret spoken communication in real time, preserving meaning and tone.
• Clarify non-verbal cues and culture-specific concepts to facilitate understanding.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and impartiality.
• Complete required documentation, logs, and reports per protocols.
• Comply with applicable laws, policies, and codes of conduct.
• Other duties as assigned.
