Job summary

The State Board for Community and Technical Colleges (SBCTC) is seeking a Program Administrator of Corrections Education to lead statewide coordination and technical assistance for correctional education programs across sixteen colleges in partnership with the Department of Corrections.

This role focuses on scalable, equitable access to opportunities for justice-involved individuals and reports to the Associate Director for Corrections.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field, OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience developing strategic partnerships and collaborating effectively with college and community partners.
  • Experience managing multiple activities and projects to successful completion.
  • Experience with education delivery platforms and the ability to provide technical support.
  • Experience with equity-centered professional development and trainings.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support, guidance, and monitoring of Corrections Education Navigators to ensure understanding of and compliance with SBCTC/DOC Corrections Education Agreement.
  • Facilitate collaboration between Corrections Education Navigators, DOC Navigators, and reentry center representatives to support continuity of services.
  • Identify strategies and design projects that deliver innovative, evidence-based professional development for Corrections Education Navigators.
  • Provide technical assistance and support to staff, faculty, and Corrections Education Deans and Directors.
  • Support colleges in reaching enrollment and completion goals in Adult Basic Education.
  • Collaborate with SBCTC colleagues and system stakeholders to reduce racial equity gaps across the community and technical college system, particularly by increasing access to college and supporting the success of students of color and other minoritized student groups.
  • Coordinate and plan professional development opportunities for corrections education representatives.
  • Collect, analyze, and apply program data to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and strengthen program outcomes.
  • Manage the Corrections Education web page.
  • Collaborate with relevant work groups focused on services for corrections education students.
  • Serve as a member of the Basic Education for Adults (BEdA) team, attending department meetings and following department processes and requirements.
  • Perform various activities to support the Associate Director for Corrections
