Job summary

Amex GBT is seeking a Travel Counselor to join our remote team supporting corporate clients. You will advise and arrange travel for individuals and groups, researching options and anticipating traveler needs to upsell services.

You’ll book domestic and international trips across air, rail, and accommodations while ensuring policy compliance and high service standards. The role offers flexible shifts within a 24/7 Traveler Care operation in the United States.

Qualifications

• Passion for excellence in client service including proactive anticipation of needs.
• Native GDS expertise (Sabre).
• Keen international travel knowledge.
• Phone and email servicing experience.
• Professional communication (written and verbal).
• Attention to detail.
• Integrity and safeguarding traveler information.
• Strong understanding of the travel industry (business/leisure).
• Resolving customer issues quickly and independently / with supplier.
• Teamwork and openness to feedback.

Responsibilities

• Advise and arrange travel for corporate customers (individuals and groups).
• Analyze travel options and proactively anticipate traveler needs to upsell services.
• Arrange and book domestic and international travel (air, rail, accommodations).
• Knowledge of GDS, including Sabre.
• Ensure compliance with customers' travel policies and provider rules.
• Provide courteous service and respond to special requests.
• Collaborate within the team to mentor and improve service levels.
