Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Tax Director for a 100% remote, nationwide role in a leading CPA and consulting firm. You will guide the internal tax function, oversee compliance, planning, and risk management, and advise leadership on tax matters affecting decisions and strategy.

The position requires 10+ years of tax experience, CPA/EA credentials, and the ability to lead a growing tax team across multiple jurisdictions. Competitive benefits and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required; master's preferred.
• CPA or EA certification highly desirable.
• 10+ years of progressively responsible tax experience, including partnership taxation.

Responsibilities

• Guide the direction of the firm's internal tax function, covering compliance, planning, reporting, research, and risk management.
• Stay ahead of new tax legislation and regulatory changes and advise leadership on impact to compliance and planning.
• Direct preparation and filing of federal, state, local, and other returns for the firm and its owners.
• Lead partnership tax issues, including allocations, distributions, and capital accounts.
