You will optimize core database performance, work on query and distributed optimization, and help ensure performance stays strong as the project evolves. You will engage with our open-source community and collaborate across engineering groups to drive efficiency and scalability.
Qualifications
Solid professional software development experience in C++ (Unix systems).
Strong knowledge of database internals and design.
Experience in performance engineering for distributed systems or related domains.
Excellent collaboration and communication across engineering teams.
Responsibilities
Analyze and optimize performance of the core ClickHouse database.
Extend and create performance tests from real-world or synthetic data.
Assist Support Engineering in debugging advanced performance issues.
Collaborate with other core teams to assess feature impact on performance.
Engage with the open-source community: reviews, PRs, questions across channels.
