Job summary

Cognizant is hiring a Conversational AI Platform Engineer to design, develop, and deploy enterprise-grade AI solutions including voice and chat bots. You will leverage AWS Lex, Amazon Bedrock, Bedrock AgentCore, and Strands SDK to build agentic AI apps, with a focus on accurate intents, robust prompts, and efficient operation.

The role offers a remote position open to qualified applicants in the United States, with collaboration across AI engineering and product teams.

Qualifications

• Experience developing Conversational AI platforms using AWS Bedrock, Bedrock AgentCore, AWS Lex and related AI services.
• Hands-on experience building production-grade Generative AI solutions with LLMs, agent workflows, tool calling, and function calling.
• Strong ability to design voice and chat bot solutions including intent modeling, prompts, and NLU concepts.
• Experience with AWS cloud services (Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, API Gateway, IAM, CloudWatch) and secure deployment practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy conversational AI platforms and agents.
• Build and orchestrate agentic AI applications using Bedrock and AWS tools.
• Develop LLM-based applications with tool calling and multi-agent workflows.
• Design effective intents, prompts, and NLU models for rich user experiences.
• Monitor and optimize AI agents for accuracy, latency, scalability, and cost.
