Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Conversational AI Platform Engineer to design, develop, and deploy enterprise-grade AI solutions using AWS services and LLMs. The role emphasizes building voice and chat bots, agentic AI applications, and scalable architectures with cost awareness.

Responsibilities include designing intents and prompts, implementing guardrails, and monitoring production AI agents to ensure reliability and performance. Remote within the US.

Qualifications

• Experience with AWS Bedrock and related services in production environments.
• Designing and developing voice and chat bot solutions with intent modeling and prompts.
• Strong AWS cloud development experience including Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, API Gateway, IAM, and CloudWatch.
• Knowledge of guardrails, data protection, access controls, and responsible AI practices.
• Experience deploying production-grade Generative AI and agent workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy conversational AI platforms and bots using AWS Lex and related technologies.
• Build Agentic AI applications leveraging Bedrock, Bedrock AgentCore, and AWS SDKs.
• Develop Generative AI apps with tool calling, function calling, and multi-agent workflows.
• Design intents, conversation flows, prompts, and NLU for effective user experiences.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize AI agents for latency, scalability, and cost.
