Job summary

Amerit Consulting in the Dallas area seeks an accomplished Controller to lead client accounting, close processes, and financial reporting for a portfolio of clients. This role blends remote work with in-person client meetings and requires hands-on processing and team leadership.

You will manage onshore and offshore resources, drive timely closes, ensure GAAP compliance, and partner with client leadership as a trusted advisor. Travel within the DFW area is required.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience with 2–3 years in a Controller/Assistant Controller role.
• Strong GAAP knowledge, month-end close, reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statement prep.
• Experience managing multiple clients or entities and coordinating cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead client financial leadership, service, and accountability.
• Own close quality, financial reporting, and risk management.
• Manage onshore and offshore resources to ensure timely, accurate financials.
• Communicate close status, risks, and decisions to clients and leadership.
• Drive SOPs, checklists, and governance for each client engagement.
• Coordinate audits, taxes, lenders, and due diligence support.
