Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in control center operations
• Familiarity with electrical substation safety protocol and operations
• Familiarity with NERC standards and impact on operations
• Competency in plant processes, electrical and SCADA systems
• Ability to strictly follow operating procedures
• Familiarity with maintenance of solar and wind generation assets
• Ability to communicate clearly to manage critical situations
• Must work rotating 12 hour shift schedule

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of a growing asset fleet (solar, wind, BESS)
• Monitor portfolio via SCADA for faults and alarms, dispatch as needed
• Adjust operating parameters as directed by grid operators
• Prepare operational reports to grid entities
• Communicate with O&M personnel for troubleshooting
• Coordinate outages and outage forecasting
• Develop and manage outage schedules
• Interact with cross-functional teams across AES
• Create and track maintenance tickets
• Develop plant operating procedures compliant with NERC and PPA requirements
• Assist onboarding of new generation assets
• Contribute to regulatory compliance and safety activities
