Job summary

EXL Risk Control is seeking self-directed independent contractors to perform on-site risk surveys in the Medford, NY area and surrounding locations. You work from home or an office and service assignments within approximately 20 miles, delivering comprehensive risk-control reports to support underwriting decisions.

You will manage your schedule, coordinate client appointments, and provide timely, high-quality results.

Qualifications

• Preferred experience in commercial insurance, real estate, inspection, construction, claim, loss control, underwriting or fire safety.
• 15-hour online certification option available for qualifying the role.

Responsibilities

• Schedule on-site surveys and provide risk control reports to insurance industry clients.
• Evaluate hazards and provide recommendations to improve safety and underwriting results.
• Manage assignments, secure appointments within a local territory, and complete work on time.
