Job summary

EXL Risk Control seeks self-directed independent contractors to perform on-site surveys and risk control reporting from home or office. You will service Jamaica, NY area and nearby Queens within roughly 10 miles, handling multiple assignments with emphasis on timely, quality outputs.

Experience in commercial insurance is preferred. Certification options exist, and fees may vary by project. You will provide tools and manage your schedule to maintain client satisfaction and underwriting standards.

Qualifications

• Preferred experience in commercial insurance, real estate, inspection, construction, claim, loss control, underwriting, and/or fire and safety is a plus.
• In lieu of experience, a 15-hour online certification option is available.
• Fees are negotiable depending on experience and selected jobs.

Responsibilities

• Schedule on-site surveys and provide risk control reports for insurance clients.
• Manage assignments and secure customer appointments within the local territory.
• Complete work on time and identify hazards to support underwriting decisions.
• Assist in evaluating businesses for Property, General Liability, Workers' Comp, Auto/Fleet, and other lines.
