Job summary

R.W. Mercer Co. is seeking an experienced Contract Specialist for a full-time contract position.

You will draft, review, negotiate, and administer contracts, working with procurement, legal, finance, operations, and business teams to ensure accuracy, compliance, and cost-effectiveness. This role covers the full contract lifecycle from initial requests through renewal, with responsibilities for risk assessment, documentation, and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Contract Management, Procurement, or related field.
• 3+ years of professional contract administration or procurement experience.
• Strong understanding of contract lifecycle management and commercial agreements.
• Experience reviewing contracts, statements of work, pricing schedules, and vendor agreements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; knowledge of ERP or procurement software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and administer contracts and related documentation.
• Manage full contract lifecycle from request to closeout.
• Coordinate with legal, procurement, finance, and business stakeholders.
• Support contract negotiations with vendors and clients.
• Monitor deadlines, renewals, and compliance.
