Qualifications

• Professional work as a graphic designer, editorial designer, layout designer, publication designer, art director, or brand designer.
• Daily use of professional tools such as InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, or Figma.
• Experience with real jobs including briefs, revisions, production files, and delivery to a client or publisher.
• Comfort explaining why one design works and another doesn't.
• Clear written English.

Responsibilities

• Review designs and briefs to judge layout, readability, and brief match.
• Explain design decisions in writing for clarity and understanding.
• Evaluate graphic and editorial design work for effectiveness and alignment with briefs.
• Check design elements such as hierarchy, spacing, type choices, and color.
• Identify production issues like wrong format, low resolution, and print color problems.
