Covetrus is seeking a Contract & Corporate Generalist to serve as the first-line reviewer for procurement contracts, leveraging CLM and AI-enabled playbooks to assess terms and risks. This remote role also includes paralegal support across Legal, with focus on procurement and governance tasks.

The position emphasizes collaboration, high adaptability, and a strong foundation in contract law, with opportunities to work across multiple legal matters in a fast-growing company.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ corporate paralegal experience in-house or a major law firm.
• Experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating complex contracts for products, SaaS, and AI vendors.
• Bachelor’s degree required; junior lawyers considered.

Responsibilities

• Review and negotiate direct and indirect procurement contracts.
• Use CLM system and AI-enabled tools per playbooks; identify standard vs non-standard terms and risks.
• Escalate issues to assigned attorneys only when required by playbooks or risk.
• Serve as primary legal negotiator through execution and assist in signing process.
• Provide paralegal support across Legal divisions and overflow for other teams.
• Assist with compliance, governance, and transactional support as needed.
