Job summary

Covetrus is seeking a Contract & Corporate Generalist in the United States who will handle hands-on contract review, negotiation, and procurement enablement. The role emphasizes using AI-enabled review tools and established playbooks, with escalation to attorneys for higher‑risk matters.

Expected 5+ years of corporate paralegal experience, strong drafting and negotiation skills, and the ability to support multiple legal functions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of corporate paralegal experience or similar role in-house or at a firm.
• Experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating complex contracts for products, SaaS, and AI vendors.
• Bachelor’s degree required; open to junior lawyers.

Responsibilities

• Review and negotiate direct and indirect procurement contracts using playbooks and CLM systems.
• Identify standard vs non-standard terms and escalate risks to attorneys as needed.
• Serve as primary negotiator through contract execution and manage signing process per delegated authority.
• Provide paralegal support across Legal divisions and assist other teams as needed.
• Support other corporate governance activities and maintain organized records.
