Job summary

Generis Tek is seeking a CT Licensed Application Tester to work remotely on a contract basis, performing system testing, user acceptance testing, and requirements validation for the Connecticut Information Sharing System, in collaboration with project teams and stakeholders.

The role emphasizes creating test use cases, executing tests, generating reports, supporting defect resolution, and documenting issues for management and clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Technology or equivalent.
• 5–7 years of tester experience on IT projects.
• Experience with NIEM XML or other complex XML standards.
• Proficient in manual testing of web services; familiarity with SOAP UI and Postman.
• Strong SQL querying skills and familiarity with Extent Reports.

Responsibilities

• Create test use cases, execute tests, and generate test result reports as required by project managers.
• Support the resolution of defects found during testing and provide consultation on testing processes to the project team.
• Develop presentations and documenting reported defects for stakeholders and management.
