Job summary

The Garrison Institute is seeking a Content Specialist to help create, optimize, and produce content for our digital and print channels, aligning with our brand narrative and mission.

Working within the Marketing & Communications team as a remote (or hybrid) contractor, you’ll manage social media, newsletters, website updates, and lightweight graphic design while coordinating deadlines for programs, events, and retreats in the Hudson Valley area.

Qualifications

• Strong writing and editing skills with ability to translate mission into clear content.
• Experience creating digital content for nonprofit organizations preferred.
• Ability to work remotely and manage multiple deadlines.
• Ability to collaborate with staff, program directors, events teams and partners.

Responsibilities

• Create, schedule, and publish content across YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
• Design and update visuals and copy for newsletters and emails.
• Upload graphics to WordPress and make minor website updates.
• Create event graphics and collateral pieces.
• Ensure brand integrity across campaigns and meeting deadlines.
