Job summary

Knowesis seeks a Consumer Reviewer Administrative Manager (CRAM) to lead BRAES engagement, recruitment, and support across consumer reviewers. The role oversees recruitment strategies, orientation, and integration into scientific peer review while coordinating with SRMs/SROs and advocacy partners.

The CRAM will supervise Consumer Reviewer Administrators, ensure diverse representation, and maintain compliance with government requirements and timelines in a remote-capable environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, public health, social work, communications, or a related field.
• 5–7 years of relevant experience in patient advocacy, community outreach, volunteer or stakeholder management, or health communications.
• Experience working with patient populations, advocacy or support organizations, Veterans, caregivers, or other affected communities.
• Experience leading teams and managing outreach and recruitment activities across multiple programs.
• Experience developing and delivering training or orientation to non-scientific audiences.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, organization, and relationship-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee Consumer Reviewer administration and engagement across BRAES.
• Develop and implement strategies for identifying, recruiting, screening, and preparing Consumer Reviewers.
• Oversee the Consumer Nomination process and program-specific Consumer Outreach activities.
• Develop and maintain relationships with advocacy and support organizations, healthcare and community organizations, military and Veteran organizations.
• Supervise Consumer Reviewer Administrators and coordinate workload across programs.
• Ensure orientation, training, communications, and preparation for peer review.
• Coordinate recruitment strategies to reflect diverse communities affected by diseases and conditions.
• Monitor recruitment progress, issues, and replacements; coordinate mitigation.
• Coordinate participation with Scientific Review Managers and Officers.
• Provide guidance, mentoring, accommodations, and support before and during peer review.
• Coordinate technical assistance with COCO peer review system support.
• Oversee feedback, debriefing, and continuous-improvement activities.
• Ensure activities comply with Government requirements, schedules, confidentiality, and policies.
