Job summary

Marine Credit Union is seeking a Remote Consumer Loan Officer who builds relationships, drives lending opportunities, and delivers an exceptional member experience from application to closing. In this fully remote role, you’ll proactively reach out to members, evaluate loan opportunities, and guide decisions with confidence.

Leverage strong communication, analytical skills, and a customer‑first mindset to educate members on loan products, collaborate with lending partners, and ensure compliance

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Effective communication with members and applicants.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Make outbound calls to identify lending opportunities and generate loan applications.
• Interview applicants by phone and through digital channels.
• Analyze financial information and supporting documents.
• Evaluate creditworthiness, repayment capacity, collateral, and overall financial position.
• Calculate debt-to-income ratios and propose appropriate terms.
• Recommend loan approvals, denials, or modifications within guidelines.
• Educate members on loan products and suitable solutions.
• Ensure timely loan decisions and accurate documentation throughout the process.
• Counsel on budgeting, credit management, and financial planning.
• Maintain compliance with credit union policies and regulations.
